Welcome to TAJEER RENT A CAR, your trusted car rental partner in Dubai and across the UAE. By renting, booking, or using any of our vehicles through our website tajeercarrent.com, mobile app, or directly through our offices, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined below. These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure transparency, protect both parties, and clarify responsibilities related to vehicle use, insurance, payments, and rental duration.

 

1. General Terms of Service

1.1 Acceptance of Agreement

By signing a rental agreement, making an online reservation, or accepting vehicle delivery, the renter acknowledges and agrees to all conditions herein. This agreement constitutes a binding contract between TAJEER RENT A CAR LLC (hereinafter “TAJEER,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and the individual or company renting the vehicle (hereinafter “Customer,” “Renter,” or “You”).

1.2 Eligibility

  • The renter must be at least 21 years old for economy and mid-range vehicles and 25 years or older for luxury or sports cars.
  • A valid UAE driving license or international driving permit is mandatory. Visitors must also present a passport and entry visa stamp.
  • TAJEER reserves the right to decline a booking if documentation or payment details are incomplete or invalid.

1.3 Rental Duration

  • Rental periods are calculated on a 24-hour basis starting from the vehicle hand-over time.
  • Extensions must be requested at least 6 hours before the contract expiry.
  • Late returns may incur additional hourly or daily charges.

1.4 Service Coverage

TAJEER provides vehicles for use within the United Arab Emirates only. Driving beyond UAE borders (e.g., Oman, KSA, Qatar) is strictly prohibited unless written authorization is granted by TAJEER.

 

2. Booking, Payments & Deposits

2.1 Booking Confirmation

All bookings are subject to vehicle availability. Confirmation will be issued via email or SMS once payment and documentation are verified. TAJEER reserves the right to substitute a vehicle with a similar model if the chosen car becomes unavailable.

2.2 Payment Methods

TAJEER accepts payments via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cash (AED). Online payments are processed through secure gateways that comply with UAE financial regulations.

Customers booking via the TAJEER mobile app or website must ensure accurate billing details. TAJEER shall not be held liable for transaction failures caused by third-party payment providers.

2.3 Security Deposit Policy

TAJEER offers both deposit-based and deposit-free rental options.

  • When applicable, deposits are held to cover fines, damages, or tolls and are refunded within 21 business days after the vehicle’s return, subject to clearance of all outstanding charges.
  • For no-deposit rentals, renters authorize TAJEER to charge any subsequent fines or damages directly to their payment card.

2.4 Rates & Charges

Rental rates include standard mileage, basic insurance, and regular maintenance. Extra mileage, fuel, or toll charges (Salik) are billed separately.
TAJEER reserves the right to adjust pricing due to market fluctuations, government fees, or seasonal demand, but confirmed bookings remain at the agreed rate.

2.5 Cancellations & Refunds

  • Free cancellation is allowed up to 24 hours before pickup.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a one-day rental charge.
  • No-show bookings are non-refundable.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–14 working days.

 

3. Vehicle Use & Customer Responsibilities

3.1 Permitted Use

The renter agrees to use the vehicle only for lawful personal or business purposes and in compliance with UAE traffic laws. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Off-road driving, racing, towing, or drifting.
  • Transporting hazardous materials, illegal goods, or passengers for hire.
  • Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle (a cleaning fee applies if violated).
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

3.2 Authorized Drivers

Only drivers listed in the rental contract are permitted to operate the vehicle. Additional drivers must present valid documents and be approved by TAJEER prior to use. Unauthorized drivers void the insurance coverage.

3.3 Fuel Policy

Vehicles are delivered with a specific fuel level. The same level must be maintained upon return. Shortages may incur refueling charges.

3.4 Maintenance & Condition

The renter must inspect the vehicle at delivery and notify TAJEER of any existing damages. Routine servicing is handled by TAJEER. Renters must not carry out unauthorized repairs.

Any warning lights, mechanical issues, or accidents must be reported immediately via the app or customer-care hotline.

3.5 Traffic Fines & Toll (Salik)

All traffic violations and Salik tolls during the rental period are the renter’s responsibility. These charges will be automatically deducted or billed upon notice from UAE authorities.

 

4. Insurance, Accidents & Liabilities

4.1 Insurance Coverage

All TAJEER vehicles include Comprehensive Insurance in accordance with UAE law. Coverage includes:

  • Third-party liability
  • Vehicle theft or fire (subject to investigation)
  • Accidental damage, except in cases of negligence or illegal use

The renter remains responsible for the insurance excess/deductible stated in the contract.

4.2 Accident Procedure

In case of an accident:

  1. Stop immediately and call Dubai Police (999).
  2. Obtain a police report, regardless of damage severity.
  3. Notify TAJEER within 2 hours and send a copy of the report.

Failure to provide a valid police report will make the renter liable for the full cost of damages and loss-of-use charges.

4.3 Damage or Theft

  • For damages caused by negligence (speeding, off-road use, racing), the renter is fully liable.
  • Theft due to key loss, unlocked doors, or unattended vehicles is also the renter’s responsibility.
  • Replacement car availability depends on the severity of the case and fleet stock.

4.4 Breakdown Assistance

TAJEER provides 24/7 roadside support within Dubai and the UAE. Customers must use only TAJEER-approved recovery services.

 

5. Return Policy & Contract Termination

5.1 Vehicle Return

Vehicles must be returned at the agreed date, time, and location stated in the contract. Early returns are allowed but non-refundable for unused days.

5.2 Late Returns

Delays beyond a one-hour grace period will incur hourly or daily surcharges. Failure to return the car within 48 hours of contract expiry without notification may result in police reporting and vehicle retrieval at the renter’s expense.

5.3 Condition Check

Upon return, the vehicle will undergo an inspection. Additional cleaning fees may apply for stains, smoking odor, pet hair, or excessive dirt.

5.4 Contract Termination by TAJEER

TAJEER reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately if:

  • The renter violates any contract term.
  • The vehicle is used for illegal activities or reckless driving.
  • Payment default occurs.

In such cases, TAJEER may repossess the vehicle without prior notice.

 

6. Privacy, Data & App Usage

6.1 Data Collection

By using the TAJEER mobile app or website, the renter consents to the collection of personal and transactional data necessary for booking, verification, and payment. TAJEER complies with UAE data-protection regulations.

6.2 GPS & Telematics

Vehicles may include GPS tracking for safety, fleet management, and theft prevention. TAJEER may use this data only for operational and legal purposes.

6.3 Marketing Consent

Customers who opt-in will receive promotional messages, offers, or newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time through your account settings or by contacting customer service.

6.4 Third-Party Links

The TAJEER website and app may contain links to partner services (e.g., payment gateways, affiliates). TAJEER is not responsible for their policies or data handling.

 

7. Legal Framework & Dispute Resolution

7.1 Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai.

7.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes shall be settled amicably; failing that, they shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.

7.3 Force Majeure

TAJEER shall not be liable for non-performance caused by events beyond its control — such as natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, or technology outages.

7.4 Indemnity

The renter agrees to indemnify TAJEER against any losses, claims, or damages resulting from misuse of the vehicle or breach of these Terms.

7.5 Amendments

TAJEER reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Revised versions will be posted on tajeercarrent.com and take effect immediately upon publication.
